Thank you!!

I wanted to thank my readers formally.  Your readership is appreciated and I will try to continually improve my content and writing quality.

Room at the Inn

It would be fabulous to have all your friends and family together in one place for the events surrounding of your wedding.  Rehearsal dinners, bachelor and bachelorette parties and mother's luncheons are just a few of the things that are planned for everyone's enjoyment.

To assist with keeping everyone together, certain couples choose to reserve a number of rooms for their wedding party. There is normally a determined rate for the group.  This group of rooms is called a room block and guests of the wedding party typically call in to reserve rooms from within the block.

Ask the room reservations department at your chosen facility for more information.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Cheers,
Connie

Fun Ideas!!

Once couples have all of the serious details down, it's a good time to think of adding other elements to the day. Many couples insert their own special touches to either express who they are or to make the experience more fabulous and fun for everyone.

Believe me, everyday in Las Vegas couples are making it happen in a unique way.  From costumes to cupcakes, the options people use to distinguish themselves and their events are endless. Why not choose a photo booth? Or, purchase small inexpensive cameras so guests may take pictures from their vantage point, later turning the cameras over to you.

Ask the wedding chapel of your choice about the options available, they usually maintain a list of wedding related services which can help you make your dreams happen.

Thank you for your time and have a wonderful week.

Cheers,
Connie

Bells, Bubbles and Rice

It's the little things combined that make for one fabulous event.

Through the ages many wedding traditions surrounding have been passed down and many of these traditions have symbolic meanings.  Most often they are meant to wish the couple well in a certain way. The wedding chapels of Las Vegas often accommodate some of these traditions today and sell the necessary items within their facilities.

The tradition of ringing wedding bells has been around for many hundreds of years and throughout history bells often rang out from churches where the events took place. Today, we modify the tradition by purchasing small individual bells to ring as the couple walks out of the venue to start their new life together.

Throwing rice also goes back centuries and has been under some scrutiny lately, as it was said that the tossed rice has some negative affect on birds. To alleviate this problem, more couples have started purchasing small bottles of bubbles for guests to blow at them in place of throwing rice.

I have heard of other traditions around the world, certain countries throw candy and others throw wheat at the couple.  The best thing about bubbles and bells is there is no clean up involved.

Enjoy your weekend!

Cheers,
Connie

The Little Church of the West

Individuals can define Fabulous for themselves, I believe.  On Las Vegas Boulevard, there are two different types of Wedding Chapels, those within resorts and those that are freestanding and either way your day can be beautiful.

The Little Church of the West recently received the Review Journal's "Best of Las Vegas" award for 2014.  Built in 1942, this chapel set on a green acre of land has seen many exciting events.  The 1964 movie "Viva Las Vegas" featured the Little Church of the West.

The wedding professionals offer very creative packages here. You can purchase a package to be married in the chapel or in varying areas throughout the property.  Also, they offer an Elvis wedding, a helicopter wedding or one in front of the Las Vegas sign.

I hope you are enjoying your Independence Day weekend....grateful for your attention.
