Just the two of Us!!

On the rare occasion that it is just the two of you for your special event, you might actually find it fabulous.  To make the case for going it alone; you two, I would say that it could be an easier task to endeavor with far less complications, costs and planning needed. Rather than purchasing a lower priced wedding package to save to feed wedding guests at a reception, instead indulge in the highest priced wedding package that features amenities that suit just the two of you.  Have dinner in the best gourmet restaurant you can find and take in a 10:30 p.m. showing of one of cirque du soliel's productions.  Afterwhich, you can dance the night away, order room service and the rest is up to you......sounds fabulous right? Of course it does.  Only in Vegas!

As always, I appreciate you all.

Cheers!

As Fabulous as You Are!!

There are a great many wedding chapels to choose from in Las Vegas; however, always choose the one that you think is as fabulous as you are.

The Aria Resort opened this elegant wedding chapel last year and it offers incredible wedding packages with all the amenities you would expect and some things you wouldn't. Suprises include two wedding coordinators assigned to the event, sky suites and catered events included within certain packages.   Other interesting options include weddings in unique venues such as the Chihuly Gallery or the Fireside Lounge.  When you are out comparing venues, you'll find yourself a winner here.

The Wow! Factor

It is fabulous when guests enter a wedding or banquet facility and say, Wow!

Working in the hotel industry for twenty five years I know that these types of impressive events happen on a daily basis around the world and especially in Las Vegas.

Many couples and their wedding professionals go to great lengths to make a wedding day that is a thing of beauty and a day that will never be forgetten.

In most resorts there are dedicated catering professionals to assist you with all of your reception planning, they normally will handle the floral arrangements, lighting, any dance floor needed and menu selection.  If necessary, they may refer you to an outside professional for your musical needs, a photographer/videographer or a photo booth (just for fun).

The centerpiece in the picture is exquisite.  Remember, centerpieces come in varying sizes and a beautiful piece like this can be replicated on a smaller scale with just few bunches of hydrangea,  a few roses and a few strands of crystals. At whatever level you are on make your day the best that it can be and it'll  be something for you all to talk about for many years to come.

Have a wonderful weekend and I hope you find something that makes you say, Wow!

Cheers,

Connie

Still the One...

I know it's fabulous when you find the one you want to spend your life with and many people found them long ago.  For those lucky people a renewal in Las Vegas can be perfect.  Did you know that every year hundreds of renewals happen in the wedding chapels of Las Vegas?
There is much of the same planning to do as with a regular wedding. With renewals, there can still be beautiful flowers, gowns and suits. The music should be different and its nice when songs are chosen to uniquely fit the couple.  During the ceremony, many of the same words are said.  Some couples even choose to have a sort of dinner party afterwards. It's also very nice when many of the friends and family members old and new attend as well. The main thing to remember is to take along the original marriage license.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Father's Day.

Cheers!

The Best Dress

When looking for a dress there are a few things to consider beyond the beauty of it's form and how it looks on you.  Consider the season, will it be in winter, spring, summer or fall.  Also, check the average temperature during the time you are scheduled to be married, don't assume it will be warm, just because it's a desert.  Consider the venue, will the wedding take place indoors or outdoors?  Will you have to walk outside to get to the chapel?  Just be prepared for the elements. Another thing, some dresses come with what seems like fifty (50) buttons down the backside that sometimes all need to be fastened by someone. The coordinators may not mind; however, it's nice if you have someone to do that for you (preferably not the groom). Consider the length of the aisle you will be walking down, and choose a dress with a train accordingly.  If you have always wanted a dress with a train, I say, go for it!  The wedding coordinators will usually fluff your train for you before you walk down the aisle. The Maid/Matron of honor (if there is one) arranges the train when the bride arrives at the alter and will help her with the train as she turns to walk back down the aisle with the groom.  Just remember you may not want to choose a cathedral length train for a small chapel venue.  When ready to travel, many brides have their dresses packed for shipping to protect them, keeping them from wrinkling and loosing their shape. Should you arrive to Las Vegas and not have a dress, there are many bridal shops in and around Las Vegas. Likewise, there are many formal wear shops that rent not only tuxedos but beautiful wedding gowns too. As with anything else, there are lots of options to consider, just choose the one that you think is fabulous.
