Registry

Today, I would like to feature something I have never discussed before on the wedding blog, having a wedding registry. It is one of the best ways your family and friends can prepare you and your spouse for the future. By giving you useful and meaningful gifts you will be off to a great start and have items to treasure for a lifetime.

Curating a wedding registry is an essential part of starting your new life together. The list should comprise items from the opulent to the practical. To make the list consistent, decide on a central theme when selecting gifts. Select items that represent the idea of the life and home you are building. Above pure necessity and desire, this part of the wedding plan can be a bonding experience. Let these items help you build peace, beauty, comfort, and fun into your home space right from the start!

Full disclosure:

I am now an Amazon associate and I will highlight items occasionally for your convenience and marketing purposes. You will see items and if you click on the link, you will be taken to the Pinterest pin with the details about the items. From there you can access my affiliate link to the item on Amazon. Amazon will pay me a commission if you buy through that link.

Wedding Planning Love

Did you know? Wedding planning, wedding blogging is not a cry for love.  It is a job like any other which in time becomes an unforgettable vocation of beauty.  I first accepted a wedding planning job because it meant an increase in pay and with commission it was much more lucrative than the previous position. But although very often single, the love of weddings and the stories therein filled my heart and soul.

Wishing you and yours a very Happy New Year!

Birthday Weddings?

Yes, I have seen them.  In my opinion we should always be grateful for the opportunity to be in union with someone else; however, you have your special day each year, let your marriage have it's special day too.

Royal Weddings

A Royal Wedding in Vegas?

Absolutely, fabulous.  Yes, there have been or, so they say . . . No one carries their royal business card around especially when the kingdom is now only a family legend.

We may take numerous lessons from the Royal wedding yesterday; however, "when love is the way" we will indeed be living in a much better society.

A deep bow and congratulations to the happy couple, I can see them renewing their vows in Vegas one day.

Cheers & Love always,
Constance

Love - the Next Chapter

Did you know getting married when you are older can be fabulous?
So, how many people who get married in Las Vegas have been married before? How many people do you think get married again after middle age?

Sometimes the love of your life comes to you when you least expect it.
How is it someone could come along later in life and fill you with so much joy, love and excitement giving you the zest to wake up everyday if only to see what they are doing? Happy people attract happy people.  And so it is. It happens. Very often. Very, very often.

If we are lucky (blessed), life gives another chance with someone who seems to be the apple of your eye, the spring in your step, the butter to your toast or you just seem to be MFEO (made for each other). This beautiful being seems to be the one who has loved you the most. Okay well, I hope that happens to you anyway, if need be.

Yes, I would say more than half the weddings I coordinated were not first marriages and perhaps a quarter of all the weddings were those of people who waited for the best that was yet to be.

So, you're probably saying where'd all these people meet up with each other. They probably don't want me to tell their secrets, but . . . it happened at the old folks home, they were neighbors growing up, their kids fixed them up, they wrote for the same media outlet and  they bumped into one another getting on a plane to Paris. One just never knows just what tomorrow will bring. . .

Cheers & Love always,
Constance

Renewing Hope after Divorce

Renewing our hope after divorce is essential. We may also need to renew our trust and our faith in humanity. Some of us get over a separation and fly off into new and lovely horizons. Finding new friends and testing new relationships is the key to building a new and better marriage. You can find a new life and a new husband or wife who will meet the needs you didn't have fulfilled before. Couples marry and remarry anew every day in Vegas and for some of them, the 2nd time sticks or the third time is the charm.

We won't go any further than that, just enjoy yourself and have a little faith in the future!

Cheers!

New Years, New Vows . . .

Wedding Accessories.

Happy New Year!
Yes, many people do marry on New Years Eve. I've worked on weddings that didn't start until twelve or one in the morning. Many couples who chose to marry late in the evening have their receptions before the ceremony.  It works well for many but be aware of the challenges this choice may bring.
  • Leave early, traffic on New Year Eve is heavy.
  • You may lose some family members to sleep.
  • If you forget anything not many services will wait beyond midnight for you to bring the rings, cd, grandpa or license.
  • Most importantly, everyone drink responsibly and at the appropriate time to make the memories sublime.
Cheers to 2018
May the new year be filled with fresh wonderful experiences which bring new or renewed joy to your life.

Culture, Beauty, Weddings

chabad.org

One of the best parts of being a wedding planner is experiencing the most beautiful elements of varying cultures. Couples marry quickly and often in Vegas, but many bring their cultural elements with them.  One traditional element I find to be very beautiful is the Ketubah (Marriage Contract) used by Jewish couples. Normally this is signed by a Rabbi rather than a regular officiant. The Ketubah reinforces the vows taken during the ceremony and it is also always a tremendous work of art.

When I worked in Vegas, couples always brought their Ketubahs from their town, so I don't officially have any recommendations as to where to purchase one. However, 1-800-Ketubah.com has  the most dramatically modern designs I have ever seen.

Thank you for reading and following all these years. If we allow ourselves, we can celebrate all that is nice among the differences between us.

Happy Holidays!

Sentimental Beauty

It - is - Fabulous to blog for you for just a few minutes. Our lives are so full of every imaginable opportunity these days, we have little time to enrich the special places in our hearts and create mind blowing events to share with those we love.

There are engagement parties, bridal showers, bachelor parties and the main events of the wedding process. Likewise, renewals which are a special kind of wonderful.  All require careful planning; however, to create any beautiful event or experience, we must fit the details together like the pieces of a puzzle.

If you are in the process of creating a wedding event and want your memories to last a lifetime, begin with sentiment. A note/text before the event, a special gift delivered to the dressing room, a song played with reason, a thank you read during the ceremony, a unity candle added, a kiss on the hand. The possibilities are endless if you are truly observant and in tuned with your beloved. Being mindful of the little enjoyable things today and bringing them back to light on occasion will take your love years into the future.

Cheers!
Constance

P.S. Be on the look out for a wedding book.  Details to follow soon.

Fun, fun, fun. . .

I certainly hope you've found someone fabulous with whom to pass the years. Couples married and due for a renewal continuously entertain one another. On this Easter I heard one of the best new Easter celebrations yet. The husband now in his 70s stayed up late painting and hiding eggs for his bride. When she awoke she found them all and proceeded to make a fried rice dish with them.

A Fabulous Wedding

The business of weddings is more than just a money making intity.  It's the making of a family. The joining of two souls. A sacrament full of beauty to behold. Because of this beauty I stumbled on trying to get a promotion exactly twenty years ago I found one of the most joyous and lasting duties of my life. The art of weddings 💒. Because of my knowledge base and enduring love of weddings, I plan to open myself up to planning weddings and renewals again very soon.

Be on the look out.

Cheers!

Valentine

Valentine's day is one of the busiest days of the year for the wedding planners of Las Vegas. Wedding parties should plan accordingly and be prepared to wait. Many bride's choose a red florals, bouquet, red bride maid dress, ties and cumberbuns. The color is perfect for the occasion; however, you may want to choose your favorite color. In any case, choose a color which will make your wedding as unique as is your love.

Valentine's is celebrated in many other places around the world.  This day of love may come once a year, but the sentiment can be expressed on date nights throughout the year.

It is my wish for you to experience the beauty of Valentine's day on a greater level with each passing year.

A Fabulous Marriage

As the years pass, we as human beings are made to see new horizons and understand things from different perspectives. With the passing of time and following trends, wedding coordinators plan more innovative and elegant weddings. However, there are other crucial experts who can help you plan a fabulous marriage. I'm no expert in the area of marriage, but there are professionals waiting to help you make it last a lifetime! Why wait to seek out a marriage counselor or happy old couple when there is a problem? Seek out all the information you can about marital relationships before the marriage begins. We have access to more information than ever before; seek it out and give it a try. What is the secret the 50% of successful married people know that the rest do not know or exercise daily? The key to any other kind of success is found in our daily habits; this is also true in marriage. All the little things you do for each other every single day, the larger gestures done once a week, and the huge efforts annually all add up to something really great. There are lots of counselors, therapists, clergy members, and soul mates out there who would love to help you and play a part in the making of a fabulous marital relationship. If you wish to follow me on Pinterest, you will find many articles on weddings and marriages pinned to my page.

An Act of Courage

Hold tight the hand of the man who will soon become your newly minted husband. As you flow through the day you are full of hope, trust and lead with a heart overflowing with love. You know it not, but In some regards this day is the ultimate act of bravery. For in your allowance you will be subjected to all the best or the worst life has to offer. You must be prepared in your celebration to withstand which ever of these life has in its coffers. But celebrate, do. I will always wish the world for you. Years upon years of happiness, you two.

Pre-Wedding Dinner

On the evening before the wedding day, many couples host a rehearsal dinner. However, if your party is small, even if there are no attendants. It is a nice idea to plan an elegant dinner even if it's just for the two of you and your closest well-wishers. Whether the food is catered in or homemade, let it be a time to relax. Play music and feel free of all the details, solemnness, and excitement of the wedding day to come.

Brilliantly Beautiful Reunion

Yes! We do make mistakes, and some divorced couples realize they absolutely need each other. Together they reconstruct their covenant in a reunion of marriage.

Very often the family will come back together again to witness this marriage for the second time. Some will say, "Rightfully so."

With all in favor, the couple must consult the courthouse for a new marriage license and begin their ceremony and life again.

After the Event . . .

There are times when I come upon a fabulous setting beyond description somewhere else in our country and upon seeing it's beauty my breath is stolen just for a moment. Tonight, I witnessed a kind of serendipity. My eye fell upon a wedding scene flanked with lace, vines of white roses climbing columns, crystal chandeliers and under ivy pergolas. All accented with a line of fire. Oh, the wedding business is still full of wonderful potential for original design.  The commitment, words and the level of sanctity are paramount; however, the decor has the ability to speak volumes about a couple's loving spirit. I only wish my camera captured the scene as magnificent as it was in actuality.

Have the best of weeks, my kids say this will be the best week ever.
I have no choice, but to believe them.

Cheers,
Connie

Apache Wedding Blessing

Couples often add romantic poetry or blessings to the ceremony. If not used during the ceremony a piece is usually added to the printed program for guests to read.  The Apache Wedding Blessing is very popular.
